EndoRefix™ Features

Simple:

The EndoRefix™ clip is simple to use and designed to access sites where suturing would prove difficult.

Feature 1

Repositionable:

The clip is retracted into the applicator and allows the surgeon to redeploy the clip up to ten times before final release.

Feature 2

Security:

This “third hand” assists the surgeon during the procedure by enabling him to clip the graft to the back wall of the aorta to secure the graft for suturing.

Feature 3

Fixation:

EndoRefix™ can also be used for tissue to tissue fixation. When the clip is deployed a suture in the centre allows the clip to be withdrawn allowing optimal positioning.

Feature 4

When the clip is correctly positioned the suture is cut and the clip is permanently deployed.

EndoRefix™ is a nitinol fixation clip which can be used to attach grafts to arteries during open surgery. The clip is completely repositionable; this feature can be used to avoid areas of hard, calcified plaque.

Vascular Indications

Fixation and approximation of:
- tissue to tissue, or
- tissue to woven/knitted graft material

Primary Fixation

Fixation of the graft material to the back wall of the aorta for abdominal aortic aneurysms using the SAGITTAL applicator

Sagittal applicator

Secondary Approximation

Leaks can occur at the back wall of the aorta after suturing. The EndoRefix™ clip can be used to approximate the graft material to the aorta, using the CORONAL applicator to deploy the clip in a horizontal orientation.
